John, What a beautiful right up of Boomer! I am so happy that you did this for all of us and for the memory of Dan. I felt exactly how you described him and I am so happy that he was a big part of our lives. It was so touching and as it made me smile the tears also rolled down my face as the distant memories were so close and so dear to me. Thanks for taking the time out of your busy day to honor Boomer and touch our lives!!

P.s. I mispelled write up!

If the guy would've just focused on DOING HIS JOB THAT HE GETS PAID TO DO and not playing around on the computer sending ridiculous emails in the first place, this would not have happened to him. Hard for me to feel sorry for a grown man who definitely should know better than to send such a racial email.

Tough lesson for him to learn. Hope he learned it!

I agree about Mr. Baker and the major blunder he made. It's a shame that he's probably damaged his career and the rest of his life with one click of the mouse. I remember a time I was sending something to my parent company in Delaware and accidentally copied the offender on the email too when I was blasting him to corporate, so he read it too. Talk about EMBARRASSED even though what I was saying I believed to be true. I didn't get into trouble with my job, but that person never talked to me again, so I know how it that feels in a sense, but mine wasn't racial or political, just an in-company issue, but still....

And Mr. Baker has asked for forgiveness and that's really all he can do at this point other than to be more sensitive in the future. I don't personally know him, but I know this issue has made it around the country, so there will probably be major implications for him.

John, I'm glad I had classmates like you that could say it so much better then I could. I feel exactly the same way you do but couldn't find the words to say it. Some days I wish we were all still frozen in 1981 but there are far more days that what I learned then has helped me in my life.
